Looking for dinghy sailing somewhere (hot) in Europe in August - but not a "beachclub"

DCs and I love Mark Warner, Neilson etc, but DH wants to be somewhere which is not like South London on the med - ie where he can get out and about see the local towns and so on (whilst we enjoy the acivities) and not just be surrounded by wealthy Brits in a beach club bubble. (A beachclub would be fine if next to a vibrant town, though!)

I was wondering about Minorca Sailing (but the prices look horrendous compared even to Mark Warner and Neilson).

Anyone got any ideas? I am struggling.

Rockley sailing do sailing holidays in South France. Also, Sunsail do a range of sailing holidays.

Thanks invicta that looks really good. Have you used Rockley yourself? There?

I was going suggest Menorca Sailing as well, Ses Salines is near Fornells which is one of the most gorgeous old fishing towns in the Med with scenery and food to die for. There is a great restaurant in Ses Salines called Ca Na Marga, but there are countless other brilliant ones in Fornells itself.

But it is a bit posh, and so you pay for that. I would really recommend it though.

I went years ago to France with Rockley and had a great time. However, ds 's current school go there every year on a sailing holday.

Fornells is a lovely town but it doesnt have a sandy beach.as sucj. There are some gorgeous ones about 10 minutes away up tracks and then 10 minutes
