Holland - which area?

Quite fancy taking the family to Holland this summer (2 kids 8 & 6). What areas/activities would you recommend please?

I would second Madurodam, its fab. The beaches are lovely and sandy, You could do a day trip to Amsterdam - there is a very good rail network, there is a science museum called Nemo again its really good.
