For me, dh and ds who is 11. Ds has High Functioning asd and OCD. The OCD makes it hard to get him away from home, where he can do his rituals in peace. But, dh and I want to risk a 7 day holiday abroad, in hope of sunshine. Thinking August.

My son doesn't "do" kids clubs or joining in stuff but loves the pool.

We have done hotels with loads of activities for kids and he was a nightmare as he's sensitive to noise/crowds etc.

Anyone?

Thanks Smile

Eliza I am having a nightmare ATM because the hotel I booked in January has just started building work, and we are due to travel in 3 weeks and I don't want to go there anymore.

Anyway, back to the point of the thread, today the lady at Thomson suggested an apartment block in Son Bou Menorca. It is only 12 appts but has a massive pool. We have decided against it as our two are 15 &17 and although the beach looks stunning the resort looks just a little too quiet. I think the apartments are called the Son Bou Gardens. I shall just pop the website up to make sure.

Sorry , my mistake, it's the Son Bou Playa, your can find them on the Thomson website (I'm on my iPad and don't know how to link).

The lady in the travel agents said she has been there and it is lovely and quiet and the resort is very laid back. I can't vouch for that as I've not been.

Checked your recommendations out..... And for the dates I have, constrained by dh's work, there's nothing, at all. So, it MUST be good!

Will keep looking....

My advice would be to rent a villa with a private pool. That way you get the peace and quiet you need and still get to enjoy the pool.

Try ownersdirect.co.uk Go to the advanced search page and put in your criteria.

Are you fixed on Spain? You may find more affordable/quieter places with pools in the french country side. Go south of the Loire for the weather - Vendée perhaps.
