Menorca/Majorca

[Horseyradish]

Hi, can anyone suggest any nice hotels/resorts in Menorca or Majorca.

We usually prefer quiet resorts away from hustle and bustle, with nice restaurants offering local type food but still suitable for a 8 month old.

Last September we went to Alcudia in Majorca with a 3 yr old. I know he's older than your dc but we loved it. We didn't see much for younger children to do but the beach was super we chilled out all week. There was plenty of parks nearly on every corner and the people were soo welcoming. We went all inclusive but there were so many nice bars with children's entertainment like shows or bouncy castles/park area that we ate out a lot. The hotel we stayed in wasn't superb but we used it as a base and went to the beach most days. The resort was overly busy as it was late September and the weather was high 20s all week it rained one afternoon when we were shopping. I found it perfect. A trip to marineland is a must..

We went twice to Can Picafort (a bit south of Alcudia). The town itself wasn't that great but again it is a good base. I preferred the sea to the area around Alcudia/Port de Pollensa though.

We had a villa so can't help with the resort but the area is absolute great.

Everything is in easy reach.

Menorca is perfect for kids of all ages.

Son Bou - lovely, lovely white sandy beach, nice pretty resort, perfect for families with young children.

Arenal d'en Castell, lovely beach, nice restaurants, not too busy, very scenic, ball pools, soft play in various locations.
