Woburn or Whipsnade?

About equal distance so not a factor
Using clubcard vouchers so different in price minimal factor (need to exchange today cos 5* value expires today).

DTDs 11 (but still like a good zoo)
DD3 6

TIA

Actually there is a difference in price cos the Woburn voucher isn't part of the 5* promotion....but could in theory do either...

Whipsnade is big, you do need to do a lot of walking and we are always slightly underwhelmed by the view you get of many of the animals. Costs a fortune to take your car in, except in winter. Woburn is part safari, part walking (always do the walking bit first, then do the car bit as the queues will be shorter later on). They have a very good soft play place at Woburn.

We have been to Whipsnade a lot and it is brilliant when the weather is good - don't even cotemplate going there in this weather as it's windy and bitter up on that hill.

It's lovely having a picnic in there particularly with the wallabies/deer/caba's randomly walking past wild. And there's a bus/train to get round the site - the bus is free, think the steam train is extra. We went when it was wet once and stayed on the bus for an hour in the dry Grin

We are members of both - I'd go for Whipsnade tbh. Much bigger and more to do for a day. Though Woburn is good too and has a good indoor soft play if rainy. Food much better at Whipsnade too.
