driving to Legoland Denmark

We would take the ferry from Harwich to the Hook of Holland and then drive up to Denmark.
Has anyone done this particular journey? Did you stop on the way and if so where? and once there what other places did you visit? We have 2 DSs aged 11 & 9

Thanks

Why not ferry to esbjerg? That would cut your driving time. We did that journey overnight from harwich when we took ds1 to denmark 4 yrs ago. We went to legoland, but stayed in silkeborg, visited aarhus, randers rainforest museum, beaches along jutland peninsula

Thanks wearymum for the tips on where to visit. We also thinking about travelling onto sweden via The Bridge (as in the tv series).
