Legoland - came back with a broken bone!

Went on the Fairy Tale Brook, not exactly speedboat racing I know...

Anyway, at the end of the ride, the sign says stay seated, there will be a bump. So after the bump DD and DP stood up, then there was another bump as the boat behind them hit theirs and they both fell back into their seats again. DD put her hand out to steady herself and broke her middle finger Sad.

Be careful out there...

Cheryllou - my son slipped over and cut his chin open at a local swimming pool, do you think the local paper would be interested in that?

or given the sad recent event at Chessington, is it just open season on theme parks?

Thornby - Sorry to here about you daughter. Accidents do happen though.

thornbury · 13/06/2012 14:21

It was just that, an accident. No press attention or no win no fee solicitors needed. Just a word of caution to others.

I emailed Legoland on Sunday, just to let them know what had happened. No response yet.

I have been on that ride many times (as I type this I can her the witch cackling in my head) and know exactly what you mean about the bump, you do have to be careful and wait.

Hope you dd's finger mends quickly and doesn't hurt her too much.

Thornbury, just to let you know, I wasn't hawking for stories, I just use LL a lot and it caught my attention... BTW I think the viking ride is seriously dangerous - both my little ones have bumped heads on it as there's no restraints and I was the only one who got soaked in the whole boat in sitcom stylee - but that's another story... Hope little one's okay and not terrified of theme parks!
