Gran Canaria in September

Thinking about booking somewhere sunny for a mindless pool/food/sleep holiday, Gran Canaria seems warm and the prices are ok. Is it still sunbathing weather in September?

Any experiences? I like the hotels in Puerto Mogan (forget the names!) but my friend just came back from Maspalomas and said it was pretty nice.

No children, just me and DH.

Yep, Gran canaria is lovley all year. September weather will be good. We stayed in Bahia Feliz ( a few times) small resort with lovely little square with great restarants.
Some lovely beaches all along the coast, the dunes at maspalomas are great.
The buses are really frequent & easy to use.

We went to the Cordial Mogan Valle in Puerto Mogan last October half term and it was boiling. The sea was lovely and warm there and the hotel was great. We went to Maspalomas for a day for a change and I liked that as well as it has the sand dunes and a much bigger, breezier beach. Puerto Mogan is by far the nicest resort on the island though in my opinion. The only thing that is stopping us going back there this year is that it was quite difficult to get out and about as the roads from Mogan inland are extremely bendy and quite hair raising so we felt a bit limited as to sightseeing. Having said that the scenery inland is really beautiful once you get there and as you're not going with kids bendy roads might not be such a problem!

Gran Canaria is still hot in September, I went 12 years ago. I have been to Lanzarote and Tenerife in September too, the Canary Islands are hot or at least warm all yer round. I prefer Tenerife though, me DH and DS are going in August
