Going in August with 14 and 16 year old DSs.
I have seen it recommended on here and wondered whether anyone had any tips or recommendations? Especially for older kids.

Sorry, no idea how to change link. But if you google marhotels, and cala d'or, you'll find it if you don't want to click the link.

Looks good but we are already booked here
By the way you put square brackets around the link Wink

We went there. It was lovely but expensive in restaurants and bars because of all the posh yachty types with money to burn in the Marina. Free entertainment staring longingly into their boats, though.

Thank you re. links :)
The thing that did surprise me about Cala D'or, was that despite the lovely restaurants (that I didn't find too expensive, the ones we found) in the town, there was a bloody great McDonalds Grin

Not so sophisticated then Smile
We are self catering after a few years of AI holidays, and by S/C I mean eating out not cooking!

SecretSquirrel we stayed where you are staying last year. A really excellent hotel complex and restaurant very good - would recommend half board. There is lots going on in the complex - games in the pool and on the beach for the children. In the evening the resident entertainment team puts on a good show - a little bit cheesey so you might want to go out to one of the bars where I was told there are some good tribute bands and acts. We didn't really need to go out away from the area as so much going on and beach lovely as are the coves nearby. The boat trip was recommended to us but we have young children so wouldn't be suitable. Enjoy.

2munchkins thank you.
Teenage boys are greedy like the all inclusive buffet thing but I am fed up with it. We might try the hotel restaurant but one reason for going S/C is to eat somewhere different every night. They advertise a teen club for 13 to 18s which is one thing that attracted me to this complex. Not that they need entertaining or childcare but it's a way to break the ice and meet girls make friends.
