Where is hot/good weather in late October?

I'm thinking of trying to book a holiday abroad for me and DS for half term - he breaks up on 26th Oct and it would be for a week at most. I'd want decent weather though - where is hot enough to get some sun and wear a bikini at that time of year? I've thought of Egypt and probably Cyprus, but are there any more places I should consider?

Canaries are good all year, worth a look I reckon.

Turkey is nice and hot at that time of year. My mum has taken my nephew with her on hol during the half term break before and has come back with a decent tan.

Friends went to Cape Verde Islands in November last year on a cheap deal, and said it was quite warm. Also, I've been to Tunisia in October, and it wasn't bad - not roasting, but not bad....

If you dont want to go too far we went to Sicily last year in November and the temp was perfect for us travelling with kids, not too hot or too cold. Oct should be hotter. Good food too :)

Thanks, having looked into it a bit more I think we'll wait and go next August instead, but I really appreciate all your responses.

I'm thinking of going away October half term, is it cheap to go then?

I'm also looking at this, we went to turkey last october and we found it pleasantly warm for a bikini in the middle of the day but too cold for the kids to be in the pool for more than 10 minutes. We would have gone insane without the kids club which thankfully was still open As it was hotel run rather than Thompson who we went with as their kids clubs seem to close mid October which seems a bit daft with half term!
