I need a family activity to do as a surprise father's day present. Something DH would enjoy that would also work for the kids (3 and 9 months). We live in London. Any ideas??? Thanks

So much to do in London! Lived there preDC so not that good with all of this.
Nice pub lunch? on the river maybe?
Tate modern if it's raining (quite child-friend IIRC) and a trip to St James Park to feed ducks if not?

What about Kew Gardens?
Lots of space for DC to run round (well the 3 yo anyway Grin ) .
We took a picnic last time (I have been to the Orangery for high tea but it was ridiculously expensive not somewhere I would inflict my children on.

Outside of London, we took DH to one of those butterfly places (near Wickford IIRC) . You go into those massive, humid greenhouses and all these butterflies float past you ...aaaahhh!

Might be similar in London.

Was just about to start a similar thread. Sorry for the hijack but my stepson is at University and DH and I have a 4 year old DS. DSS is in Sheffield and we are in Herts. Any suggestions of something that we could do to surprise my DH which we all can enjoy, preferably midway-ish between the two??

Thank you all! Some great ideas. Was going to go for a picnic but weather forecast is looking terrible. What is anyone else doing, if you know yet? Any indoor activities you can suggest? Many thanksSmile
