Accom recommendations in Puerto Pollensa

Hi, DS (3 in Sept), DP and I have always holidayed with Thomsons (Menorca once, Majorca 3 times) staying at family resorts. Looking to broaden horizons a wee bit and PP has many good recommendations but stuck finding family friendly accomodation. They all look fab online but know from experience that can be deceiving! Toddler pool would be nice, not fussed if hotel or apartment, usually go 4-5 star. Any thoughts would be welcome!

im the same - always Thomson family hotels! we stayed in the (cant remember exact name) Valatin Peurto Azul Suite hotel with thomson 2 years ago when dds were 4 and 2. It was brilliant - we were half board but all the rooms are suites so have separate rooms for the children (via sliding doors). Excellent entertainment round the pool for the kids, fab swimming pools, great evening entertainment and good play park on site. Food very good (usual) and quick walk to the beach. They also hire buggys cheaply so we took one for dd2 but borrowed one for dd1 to use at night!

At night we often went down to the beach around 9pm (after kids entertainment) and got a coffee (or wine) on the prom - the kids could play in the sand adjacent and then fall asleep on the way back! Lovely place but a week enough. Cala D'or also very good - has a bit more going on like bouncy castles, arcades etc which you won't find in PP.

Hi we are going to Valentin Puerto Azul in two weeks! It has very good reviews on trip advisor and supposed to be child friendly. The other place which people recommend for good facilities, child friendly is Playa Mar hotel. We didn't opt for this one just because it is slightly further out from the centre. We haven't stay in PPollensa before but visited when we stayed in nearby Alcudia which has lots of child friendly hotels. As previous poster said Cala D'or is also good - lovely beaches, good choice of hotels and low key entertainment.

Hope you get somewhere booked.

I just typed you a long answer but it disappeared!!

Just came back on Sunday and wish I was back there! Loved it! Stayed in Flora Appartments which is only 3 stars. Was ok and a bargain anyway.

Look at this website and ask on the forums. Www.puertpollensa.com. There are locals on there who will answer any questions ou have.
