Restaurant/bar recommendations in Marbella

Hi,

My sister and 2 friends and I are going to Marbella for a long weekend in a couple of weeks, no kids yippee and wondered if anyone had any recommendations of nice restaurants (preferably not too pricey) or bars, or which general area we should head to.

Thanks
x

The old town part of Marbella is lovely, we didn't eat out though so can't help there.
Puerto banus is worth a look, a few miles from Marbella, it's a bit of a millionaires playground. Lots of impressive yachts and cars and some lovely designer shops and v nice restaurants.

Thanks accidental we'll head for the old town. I'd heard there was money around Puerto Banus, about 3 different people I know have been to Marbella but all of them said they couldn't really think of which area to go to but they had seen Sean Connery's Yacht. As I aren't particularly expecting an invite onto SC's boat it isn't very useful info for me!!!

Head for Orange Square in the old town. Loads of restaurants to choose from. Nice pubs tucked up and down cobbled streets and lanes too. Lovely atmosphere. The promenade in Marbella also has eating places/bars etc too.
If heading to Puerto Banus (definitely worth a look), you'll tend to pay more to eat drink on the front line as this is where the big yachts are moored and the ££££ cars crawl along. Great for people watching but can be a bit TOWIE at times. You can eat and drink a bit more cheaply but choose carefully. Great pizza/pasta in Picasso's but always a queue to get in.
The street directly behind is home to 'fun' type pubs and you'll generally find the hen/stag/stripclubs etc. Cheaper to drink here but a bit grubby.
Further back from the marina there's lots of food/drink choice ranging from independents to places like the Hard Rock Cafe.
Have fun!
I'm well jel. Wink
