Can anyone recommend a lovely place to stay with my family of 2 adults and 4 children.(17, 13, 10, 8 years old) max 3 hours drive from calais.

Would prefer it to have internet connection/wifi.

Anything like, tennis court, swimming pool, football posts/snooker table/games room/trampoline/woodland/play area etc would be a great bonus but NOT essenntial.

ideally would have a large mature garden, in the country, lovely clean and homely interior.

If you have stayed in one or own one then please tell us.

Thankyou

have you considered a mobile home? Won't your kids get bored in a gite with nothing much to do? if you are interested in campsites in brittany i can advise.

didnt think they had any mobile homes big enough for all of us. Which campsite would you recommend going to in Brittany?

Belgium rather than France but the Ardennes are lovely - and should be doable in under 3 hours from Calais. I like this one but this website has lots of lovely houses.

lady - they do 3 bed ones - there are 5 of us and we've never filled the place. just thrown my book away but from memory dol de bretagne - chateau des ormes (little noisy but lots going on for teenagers and great football), les deux fontaines (walk through fields to beach), la grande metairie carnac (excellent area/beaches but might be too far to travel, also more reliable weather). d'atlantique - again walk through fields to nice beach. ukcampsites.co.uk also have reviews. thinking about it you get lots of families with 4 kids, but i would go for one of the largest vans.

some have wifi - not sure if these sites do
