Anyone recommend any decent Mosquito sprays?

Anything I should look for?
Especially something suitable for young kids.

I'd look for natural stuff with Citronella in. Here in SA where my DD and I get eaten alive by bloody mozzies, I use a citronella wash/soap for us, and then Citronella (kiddie friendly) stick AND spray.

(I use the bad store bought (non kid friendly) stuff for myself. :P )

I'd have a look at baby shops and outdoor type shops.

Are you going somewhere where malaria is prevalent?

Ruffello · 04/06/2012 19:54

Haven't used this but friends say it's very effective at repelling mozzies. avonshop.co.uk/product/skin-so-soft-soft-and-fresh-dry-oil-body-spray.html

Nowhere dangerous.. only Majorca :)

Looked at some today and some contained Deet, some didnt? Is deet good?

Ive not been abroad for 5 years so not sure.

Some say that they arent suitable for under 3's.

Skin so soft avon stuff is brilliant.

DEET is the most effective mosquito repellant which I used at 50% concentration when in a malaria zone! For mallorca, 10-25% would be fine. There are also 'natural' repellants like citronella which are not as effective as deet. this link has some good info about deet!
