Any ideas for fun morning with a 10 year old girl near Thorpe is Surrey?

Just that I guess. I have 4 hours tomorrow morning to hang around waiting for her older brother, and she doesn't want to go. I'd be grateful for any advice. (Thorpe park probably too expensive.)

Shopping trip in Staines?

Feed the swans - there is a car park by the river between Thorpe and Staines.

Is Staines good for shopping? I've never been there.

Yes it's decent, parking is expensive there is also a multiscreen vue cinema in the centre.

What shops does she like? New Look, Gap, Next, Entertainer Toy Store, lots of coffee places and food chain restaurants.

The shops are spread out a bit strangely as the 2 Rivers in the new development but as you come over the river bridge from Thorpe direction the first car park is on the left as you bear left if you miss that follow signs to the 2 rivers.

They built the new shops and then implemented a new one way system so it's all a bit of an odd layout IMHO. Not sure if you can pick up a store map from somewhere.
