You can walk - it isn't that far.

We don't want to walk for because we have got DD with us and she will get tired and moany if she walks too much and we need her to last the day.

Yes you can get a bus from outside the station into the city, you shouldn't have to wait more than a few minutes though it isn't a long walk.I am not sure as havn't used the train recently but you used to be able to get a ticket on the train which included bus travel into the city.

Someone said it was 20mins uphill to me! Or as uphill as much as it can be in Norfolk!

Hmm - it's not really uphill, I guess it depends where you want to go

Castle Mall is up a little hill

DD (14) used to walk twice the distance from the train station (to the theatre) last summer in about 15 mins

How old is your DD?

reddaisy · 31/05/2012 07:27

She is 3 and we are walking to the train station here first, then around Norwich for the day and then back.

Get a bus def then!

3yos are not known for their patience

I'm probably take a buggy - not necessarily for your daughter, but to lean on and pack all my crap luggage onto

reddaisy · 31/05/2012 07:42

DS is in the buggy so DD will have to walk for the day I just need to avoid her getting overtired otherwise as you say she won't be much fun to be around and we will end up going home early.

Go out of the station and turn right - there's quite a large bus stop past the taxi rank. I think any bus will do - if it says University on the front that's fine. Ask for Castle Meadow, or St Stephens if you want to go to Chapelfield Mall.
