we've found a Keycamp we like the look of near St. Malo. Having done the overnight crossing from Portsmouth to St.Malo about nine years ago (and hated every second of it, in a tiny windowless cabin, spent most of the night chucking my guts up in the minuscule loo) , I'm wondering if we should get the ferry to Calais and drive from there? It's about 450km, which is about 275 miles I reckon so a 4 hour drive. But French motorways are usually better than ours, easier to drive on etc, quieter? I think I'd rather do that than be stuck on an overnight ferry crossing with 3 kids (12, 9 and 6 months)
What have you done, recommend?
