Looking for a cluster of cottages with indoor pool for three families in October who wish to visit Legoland and perhaps Woburn Safari park. Had a look at Bruern cottages in the cotswolds ..nice but rather posh! Anyone any ideas...max 1to 1 and half hours from Windsor ( but not south)..travelling from Scotland? TIA.
Any reviews would be great re; bruern.

Bruern fab. Lovely lovely cottages and they can arrange chefs etc to come in and cook. Have stayed in Newmarket, Epsom and Sandown I think (names of the cottages!).

Thanks vic 891..any other details?.my feeling is that the cottages might be a bit posh with all the antiques after all I have three boys under 5??
The price is quite high but if I think it's going to be wonderful I will go for it as it's a great location and we do like a bit of luxury as holidays are few and far between! What's the pool like?

they aren't too posh for kids - there were always toddlers in our party when we were there. think the pool may be an outdoor one??? we went each time in oct/nov and never used it. you are definitely paying to be in the cotswolds - there may be better value nearer windsor - but if you think you'll spend time in the cotswolds then it would be worth it.

we used to ask for frozen cooked meals to be left for us on our arrival date as there are no shops within a short drive.
