Ok - New York or LA

Really can't decide which would be best. Was planning on LA but can see the logistics of it becoming a total pain in the arse.

Other option is Orlando however, we HAVE been to Orlando but obviously loads there we haven't seen (Busch Gardens, Beach, discovery cove etc).

So - baring in mind 2 teens (aged 13 and 15) where would you go?

As they have been to Orlando my first choice would be New York and my second San Francisco. Loads to do in both and I think teens would have a great time.

When? We went to NYC in August. Omg was the weather unpleasant. If not in mid summer I would choose NYC. Otherwise I love San Fran. Not a huge fan of L.A.

New York over LA anyday. A hire car is a must in LA as everything is spread out over a large distance however NY is easy to navigate by foot or subway. I also find LA a bit soulless compared to other US cities like NY and San Fran which have more of a vibe IYSWIM

That said with two teens you can't beat Orlando even if you have been before.

Should have added that I have done NY and Orlando in the one holiday. Flew into Newark and then down to Orlando and on the way back broke the trip for a few days in NY .

Strangely the flight was cheaper than a direct return from Edinburgh to NY Confused

New York is about one million times better than LA. Honestly.

Never been to LA so can't comment on there - nearest I've been was Vegas.
Have been to NY twice now and I love it. Fantastic city and the most friendly city we have ever visited too. We have been in May and in August - May was chilly at times, other days lovely. August was lovely, not too hot for us. Loads to see, need more than one visit to see it all that's for sure. We took DD (aged 7y and 8y) both times, and the first time two younger children.

Have also been to Orlando a few times - have done the parks when there . We never get bored!
