Toddlers & Time Difference....

Hi everyone.
Just wanting to hear a few experiances youve had with your toddlers while on a holiday that has time differance.

Im travelling to Egypt and will be 2 hours ahead, my daughter will be 21 months when we fly, since she was 7 months old shes had a on time routine of: breakfast a hour after she wakes, lunch 1pm, nap 2:30/3pm, tea time 5pm, bath 6:15pm, bed 7pm. Sometimes nap and bath varie but lunch, tea & bed are always on time! Im debating keeping to same times or wether to do lunch at 6:30/7 and bed at 8:30/9 as we r +2 hours.

What did u do? Stick to our time or adjust to theirs?

Stick to UK time, you get a bit of time in the evening, and a lie in the following day... they are less stressed, happy all round :)

iamusuallybeingunreasonable - agreed (but it won't work, because heat food availability sightseeing ruin the best laid plans!)

We only had one hour differences but all plans are normally out of the window as you do things like you see them fit at that time.

You may want to think at what time your hotel offers food so it is a bit relying on external forces. Also hot weather normally means longer siestas and later food.

Don't worry for 2 weeks, when you come back it will be back to normal after a couple of days. Children are a lot more easy with this than you think.
