Hi all, I'll soon be travelling on my own to Poland with a 7 month old to visit my husband who's working out there on Euro 2012. Unfortunately I'm also going to have to deal with a flight transfer. Does anybody have any tips please? Especially about things like car seats which I will need when I get there, buggies (currently have a Graco that folds flat, will this be ok, or should I get a umbrella buggy, thought about getting a cheap Graco car seat which will fit on the buggy so I'll have less to carry when I get there!), how to pack all our stuff effectively without overloading myself. Also, does anyone know if you hand your buggy over at the gate whether you get it at the gate when you land, or does it come off at the baggage carousel? Any hints and tips at all that might help me would be gratefully received.
Thanks

With regard to the buggy, I've had both experiences. Can you phone the airline and ask what their procedure is?
I think you would be better reposting with more detail in the title TBH.

Does the Graco have a car seat that attaches? If so they should both be free to take on.

Just tell them you need it for the layover, and remind them several times. You should then give it to them at the gate, and get it back at the gate. Best not to take anything too bulky, but I have even had twin prams up to the gate.
