New York with a 16 month old & any advice on where to stay pls?

Has anyone done this? How was it?

Our baby isn't a very good pram sleeper, so we are hoping to stay centrally so we can nip back for naps. Please can anyone recommend any nice places to stay? Our baby doesn't sleep well if we share a room either, so we either need an apartment or a hotel with family rooms.

My DS was the same age when my DH and I went to NY. We stayed at the Affinia Manhattan and stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had a lounge, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. We put DS in bedroom in the evening while we watched tv and then moved him into lounge when we went to bed.

It was also only 1 minute from Penn station as well.
