cabin-baggage-sized wheely case...

I bought one today at TKMaxx - shiny rigid one, weighs about 2.8kg I think. The size is 55x40x20 & I bought it on a whim; we are flying with Monarch in Sept, & now I've googled it, their max size is 56x45x25

55x40x20 is actually Ryanair's size - smaller than everybody else's - I have no intention of ever flying with them if I can help it, but my kids prob will, so I'm wondering if it's worth keeping it anyway (rather than exchanging for a slightly larger one) so that any future Ryanair passengers in my family can use it.

Opinions?

oh, just looked at Lufthansa (DS2 is flying with them in the summer) & their cabin baggage size is the same as Ryanair's, although they also allow one 23kg piece of checked baggage at no extra charge

So I think I'll keep it - in a reversal of normal procedures, DS2 can take a massive backpack as checked baggage & use the wheely case on board

Keep it. Good cabin baggage worth its weight in gold! And at least you know it will work anywhere!

Keep it, agree it's always good to have a compact wheelie bag.
