Talk to me about cheap breaks

Neither of us drive and we have a 16 month old DS, won't be taking his carseat so we need to travel public transport (plane/ferry/train/bus only no cars/coaches) - I don't care if it's home or abroad just warm, near a sandy beach, would be nice if a pool nearby but most important is its really cheap!

I've been looking at port Pollensa after some recommendations on here but cheapest I can see is about £620 for a week (2 adults, 1 infant) and everything else even UK is nearer £1000 and we just don't have that to spare. I'm pregnant and due in October so don't want to fly after about August, we're looking for self catering accommodation and can mostly make our own fun with picnics and walks as long as it's not in the middle of nowhere!

Are we likely to get a holiday at about £200 pp? I'm desperate for a break!

have you looked at Park Dean Holidays. they are a bit like Haven and Butlins but cheaper. we have stayed in Newquay (which is just on the outskirts and the bus is literally a five minute journey to the centre) and also in Ayr but is a little out of the way. We went by coach to Newquay (although we live in the North East) but you could look at flying or going by train - not sure of the prices for that.

We have stayed at Wringworthy holidays near Looe in the past. they have a cottage sleeping 3 and they are around £500 a week in July. they are set up for toddlers and have a swimming pool on site. cant promise the sun will shine in Cornwall though but it is a lovely part of the world!

there are some lovely flats, frontline at Carbis Bay which are just the right size for 2 adults and a small child - they cost around £500-£600 for a week in the very height of season, the beach here is lovely and there is good public transport - especially the little train that runs into St Ives. Have used them a few times but can't remember the letting agent. perhaps if you google carbis bay 1 bed holiday flat.

how about this?

Not sure where you live and I expect the baby would cost a little more (on lap for cheapest price) but it might be fun. It's £299 each for 7 days but I don't know how much extra the child place may cost you.
