Can anyone recommend accommodation for reasonable price in Ile de Re for four? 2kids under 4. Or anywhere else in this are of France? Plan to fly to Bordeaux. Thanks

The words "reasonable price" and the Il de Ré don't really go together unfortunately. It is a favourite haunt of the rich and famous of Paris, and the prices show it. A mobile home is the best way to get reasonable priced accommodation on the island.

If you go inland about half an hour the prices change considerably. Try the area around Fontenay le comte for some good priced places with pools.
