Where should I take my parents for a weekend trip to the seaside (SE England)?

I would like to take my parents for a short break. Mum would really like to go to the seaside. They live in Berkshire so preferably not a huge drive as my father is ill (and for the same reason not a beach that requires lots of steps to get to it). Also ideas on hotels would be very welcome.

Around Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, this neck of the woods? I love it down there, you can stop in the new forest en route.
Otherwise, around Swanage maybe? No suggestions for hotels though sorry.

Baliffscourt in climping, near Arundel.

Small hotel called Watermill or something in Bosham.

Both are nice, close to the sea but different from each other.
