Lido de Jesolo - nice?

Camping with Thomson Al Fresco in the summer, can't wait, we're staying a couple of miles from Lido de Jesolo. Anyone been to the area and can feed back? I love Italy but haven't been since having kids, so would be grateful for anyone's experience. Am hoping it's not too 'Brits Abroad' as am a bit fed up with the Sky Sports and Irish bars in the Med that we've experienced the last few years. Will I be disappointed?

Well it is a bit TBH but there are also plenty of Germans, French and Spanish chavs in the mix too. Lovely beach and the sea is bioluminescent. Very easy to get to Venice as well as we found out when we got on the bus to the "market"!

Oh great thank you for the reply. To be honest, so long as we are fairly peaceful on the campsite (the reviews say it is), I'mnot too bothered - just got really fed up last year of sitting on apartment balcony of an evening, to the booming sounds of bingo or karaoke from the bar next door. Hoping Italy will be a bit more laid back. It bodes well that the whole campsite shuts down from 1-3pm, and 'noise' curfew from 11pm. Suits me, miserable old bag!

It is a standard seaside town. Perhaps not as downmarket as Blackpool, but it is absolutely nothing special. Expect the usual main street of cafes, bars and touristy gifts. I think it is a fairly new town, built as a holiday resort, so has no history or anything interesting going for it.

Ok thanks. We're staying 3 miles from Lido so don't have to venture in very often if we don't have to!

But the beach is long, lovely and Sandy. More importantly it's Italy - it's all good in my book.

Yes, the beach is very lovely indeed.
