honeymoon to carribbean with 1 yr old - hotels ?

We want to go to the carribbean in January for our honeymoon & will be travelling with our 1 year old daughter. We've never been resort people & have usually backpacked or stayed in more boutiquey type of places before. We are happy to splurge for honeymoon but the thought of a 100 room resort makes us a bit queasy. Although its really important our daughter has a good time - any suggestions?

Have a look at the Babygoes2 site. Very focused (as you can see from the name!) on travel with babies and small children and includes long and short haul destinations. From our own experience, I would recommend Neilson beachclubs for travel with babies, toddlers and children - not what you're looking for now but worth keeping in mind for the future. Costs an arm and a leg in school holidays (to be fair, so does everywhere else) but often have low prices and discounts for out of school holidays so perfect for pre-school years.
