What about doing a "London walk" ?

London Walks

Admittedly, not all of them may be suitable for children, but the website gives quite a bit of detail about each one.

They're also dead cheap - and arguably educational as you get told a lot of London info. Maybe a "ghost" walk if you think 7 year old would be ok with that.

Whereabouts in London?

Restaurant, cinema? What sort of thing are you after?

Blu · 17/02/2006 22:57

You can go on the Eye until quite late.

Blu · 17/02/2006 22:59

And on Fridays and Saturdays Tate Modern until 10pm.

the plan was to see a show but far to pricey and the girls wanted to see saturday night fever which has now finished......so the days are covered with lots to do its just the night time really, open to any suggestions. rain forest cafe a good idea and london eye, as for ghost walks, my dd will not like i dont think.

If the weather's ok, go and hang out in Covent Garden, always some musicians / entertainers there and a nice cafe vibe.

There is lots of lower priced theatre in London too, you don't have to go for a big show. Look in Time Out for listings. You could also look for live music, again there are a lot of smaller venues, not just hugely expensive concerts.

I haven't been yet, but it's definitely on my list of things to do...there's a new bowling place that's opened here that sounds lots of fun....

All Star Lanes, Victoria House, Bloomsbury Place, WC1 (020 7025 2676 or allstarlanes.co.uk).

I second covent garden, especially if the weather is good. Lots of street performers and busker, great atmosphere.

Oh yes, what about Segaworld in the Trocadero Centre?
