Want somewhere for short break end Aug, with 2 families.

Pref Kent/East Anglia/South. Have found a couple of cottages etc, who want £900 + for 4 days! Haven hol park is the same, over £900. This is too much for my bro, and the short break is for his sake. Center Parcs would be ideal, £999! Anyone know of any gems that won't cost this amount?

tbh this is peak school holiday time and so most people will charge what is in effect a weekly holiday let price. Could you go at the end of August/beginning of Sept when the schools are back? there would be better deals then

Could you all share accommodation to keep costs down?

Yes we want to share accommodation so the 'cousins' can all sleep together. We had planned a week from 25th August - until we found out my 16 yr old nephew has to start sixth form college on Aug 27th!!! Grr!! So are having to try to find a short break, which is proving difficult. Tbh, it makes Center Parcs look reasonable at £900! At least there's lots to do! I will prob have to wait till a couple of weeks before we want to go, and see if anywhere has late availabliity.
