Hi I hope someone can help me out, we flew to NY from Mexico (where we live) last month and the flight there was a nightmare, in less than 5 hours our 7mo DD had vomited everywhere 4 times, we ran out of changes of clothes for her (and it being our first flight never occurred to us to take changes for us). Apart from the obvious being sick she was fairly happy, but it was just so MUCH, and just went on and on. I BF her on takeoff as recommended but I don't know if it was too hot/bumpy/early.

The way back she was fine thank goodness but next week we are flying back to the UK, 14 hours total with a stopover and I am so worried. Does anyone have any tips? Or was it just a one off and maybe something I ate disagreed with her? Thanks so much!

I would assume it was a one off
On a 14 hr flight I'd take 2-3 sets of clothes for baby & one extra for you

Agreed, as above. What about keeping a bib around her to catch the initial vomit? I usually pack a lot of bibs for the flight. My baby used to vomit all the time (she had really bad reflux). I also found a dummy in the mouth (hers not mine!) gave me a few extra seconds to act. Pack paper towel too which can deal more easily with large lots of vomit than small wipes can. Most of all, don't worry too much. It's unlikely to be the same story again.
