We're off to NZ tomorrow for a month. I'm trying not to stress too much about the journey with a DD of 19 months but I am feeling a bit 'challenged'. Any last minute bits of advice from anyone?

Welshmum, enjoy yourself, you will have a great time here in NZ. The sun is shining (well it was till it went in for the night) it is warm and the beers are cold. Get to the airport nice and early, ask if the plane is full, try to score some extra room but if all else fails repeat the mantra "air temperature warm, beer cold" for 26 hours. My mum and dad are here at the moment and got a whole row of seats each for one of the flights!

Hey thanks bobthebaby - you're right I have got a bit too focussed on the journey. Am preggers though so can't have beer...well maybe half a glass when MIL isn't looking. Isn't it really frowned on to drink any alcohol at all in NZ?

Welshmum - pack lots of little treats and toys (those small packs of playdough are good), things that take a long time to eat, her favourite foods, maybe a little library of books in a box, stretchy animals, little stamps - these are things which amuse my DS! The flight will be hard, but you will arrive in sunshine! Have a great time!
