Talk to me about Pollensa v Lanzarote...

We (DH and 18 month old DS) were about to book a small villa in the North West (quiet, rural) bit of Lanzarote.

Then, for some strange reason, we got cold feet.

I've stumbled upon Pollensa in Mallorca. I think it's popular with mumsnetters - can anyone tell me why and any good self-catering places to look at? I assume there's a nice beach?

Thanks all

Very nice safe beach, non tidal. Puerto Pollensa is also flat, making it easy to get a buggy around, as opposed to Pollensa village which is inland and has a few hills with steps. The restaurants are all family friendly. Look at the website Puertopollensa.com for lots of useful info, bus travel times, restaurants, things to do, accommodation, reviews.

I don't have first hand experience of self catering there, we have always been in a hotel. However it is ideal for small DC from what I've seen.
