Brighton isn't cheap, but the Premier Travel Inn has rooms for £65 per night at weekends, less during the week. It's really central so great for a night on the town. Don't confuse this with the Travellodge on Preston Road which is actually quite a way out of town.

travelodge? premiertravelinn? something off lastminute.com?

TRY the travel lodge in rustington or littlehampton - its only 20 miles to brighton - 40 mins in car

The Adelaide is supposed to be very nice and very good value The Royal Pavilion Townhouse Hotel looks lovely, its a bit pricier but I've read they often do deals so it might be worth asking. Shame the Travelodge is booked - cant imagine its particularly nice, but it is only a few hundred yards from Circus Circus. Another thought is the Crown & Anchor Pub on Preston Road, its about 5 mins walk from Circus Circus and does B&B - but I have absolutely no idea what its like 01273 880708 - Good Luck!

rephrase that, I mean we will be spending a light amount of time at the 50th birhday and then hoping to relax quietly at a local hotel ready to drive home in the morning
