Which airline to fly to New York with?

We're planning a trip to New York with DC (will be 11 & 8) and I'm trying to get an idea of airfares. I wondered if there was much difference between the airlines and if it's worth paying more than the cheapest fare to go with a particular airline? We'll be flying from London. Thanks.

Try Kayak, and then go to the cheapest's website. I've been BA and Virgin, and this Sept we're flying to Boston with Delta, which was considerably cheaper. So maybe try them, have a great trip!

Flown with Continental a few times and no complaints

We are flying with Delta in a couple of weeks (2nd June) the flights were about £1200 for two of us. (we are also flying from London).
