Hotel recommendations for October in Caribbean with kids aged 6 and 2 and a half?

Just that reallly! Would love to hear of any recommendations for a comfortable family-friendly hotel, with kids activities, nice pool/gardens and white sandy beach. We are thinking about Barbados but aren't wedded to the idea - just looking for some October sunshine.

We went to verandah resort in Antigua last summer. It was lovely . The rooms were large and beach sandy.

Not been but considered it several times. Isn't that peak hurricane season? Not a reason not to go but something to consider. My parents and I (separately) have both had real problems with hurricanes at that time of year on the Caribbean cost of Mexico

I'd heard that it's a the very end of the hurricane season (we go 25 October, supposed to end by November), so are going to risk it. We've just booked airmiles flights to Barbados, so the search goes on for the perfect hotel...

Not quite Caribbean but Mexico is fantastic in October. Check out the Iberostar Tucan hotel in Playa Del Carmen. I am always raving about this hotel on here but honestly it is so fantastic especially for families, with the most beautiful beach I have ever seen

Oh yes I wouldn't go in hurrican season having seen the damage that they do
