Have I completely stuffed up these passport applications

I have just signed & dated them and put them in the envelope - was just about to post and have now realised that the person who verified them should have done that AFTER I signed the form.

Poo - these are renewals for the children can I alter my date or have I stuffed it up completely?

Is it worth me using the post office check and send thing to see if they think the passport office would accept the change?

I've just done renewals for me and the children and all I had to do was fill in the forms, sign and send them back with the old passports. I didn't have anyone verify them.

It is worth doing check and send as a friend who ended up renewing passports by appointment at the passport office had a member of staff admit they are a little more forgiving on check and send applications.

"land" did you get them OK - im pretty sure the photos and form needed re-verifying as they were babies on their last photos and pretty unrecognisable.

Yes I got them OK, but mine weren't babies, they were 10/11 in their last photos.

Have you googled? There might be some guidelines on how to fill in the forms online somewhere.

I had to get the DDs' new photos verified, and made the same mistake - I did get the passports OK. I used check and send, and the PO man basically said it was my risk to send them, but they'd probably go trhough OK as it was a renewal and not a brand-new passport.

Well this is the gutter EVERYTHING else is hunky dory - I did the forms online they were literally ready to go and I suddenly thought "shit I should have signed and dated it BEFORE it was verified" I had a HELL of a job finding someone to sign (who wasnt related to me)

That explains it "land" you had to re-verify if you were renewing and the child was currently under 11.

Poledra - did you leave the wrong date on or did you change it?

I left it LEMON, but it was a risk.

LEMONAIDE · 09/05/2012 16:58

I started to change it but it looks naff...what a pain!
