friend and i have a holiday booked and paid for at the end of june. all booked through a holiday company. bmibaby have emailed today saying our flights are cancelled and offered two suggestions as to where we might be able to rebook our flights. we have both been looking today and it will cost far more to book any of the few available flights for our dates. my question is, is it up to us to rebook our flights and re arrange our transfers or should the holiday company be doing it? we have had no communication from them regarding this. i'm about to ring them but i just need to know where we stand.

Hi, i hope this helps...

Goto CAA website, look on latest news section of front page. Click passengers and first item is about this.

The law says you should be entitled to a refund or re-routing at no extra cost. The package non package thing is tricky but worth checking if your company is ATOL protected.

Hope this helps - best of luck!

No worries - DH works in this field so gave me the answer Grin If its not clear from the website you can call the CAA on Tuesday or I can ask him.

our company is atol protected so it looks like the onus is on them to arrange alternative flights or fully refund the holiday. lets hope they can arrange flights. friend is lead passenger so they wont talk to me.
