Help! We've booked a holiday independently which involves return flights From UK to the US, 3 hotels and and a return domestic flight in the US with Delta.
The UK flights have been cancelled and the operator has offered either a refund or to move the flights by a week. The company we booked the hotels with has been brilliant and will change the bookings to match the new flight date at no extra charge or refund us the full amount.
However the US flights are not refundable and they will charge us $150 dollars to change the dates(plus any difference in price). Either way we will lose a minimum of £600.
We have travel insurance through our bank but it doesn't cover us for this.
I'm willing to bite the bullet and pay to change the flights but before I do I'm looking for an insurance policy that will insure us for the US flghts should the UK flight be cancelled again.
Am I making sense? Does such a thing exist?
