Pierre and Vacance Belle Dunne

Hello all,

I'm thinking about booking a family holiday to France and have spotted the company Pierre Vacances, they seem okay but has anyone been to the Belle Dune resort in North Picardy? Seems so have mixed reviews on trip advisor. Its a short drive from Calais which is a real selling point.

We spent 10 days there a couple of summers ago and enjoyed it. It is quite artificial looking but the accommodation was clean, a bit on the smaller side so book a size up , great pool area but some of the houses were in other areas of the site a good walk/bike ride away it , site shop , activites etc. Think I did a MN review at the time.

My sister has been and enjoyed it. Agree with LIZS to definitely go up a size - or get the largest accommodation you can afford.

We have stayed at the Logis in Guines, not too far from Calais. It's used by Eurocamp as one of their campsites - pitches for tents/caravans, chalets, and (I think) static caravans. However, booking direct, the prices are nothing like as dear as Eurocamp.

It's not far from Azincourt, and has a pool with slide, snack bar as well as the restaurant.
