We're planning to visit dinosaur museum tomorrow and just wondered if any of you have been and would/not recommend it? Our dds are 7 & 5 and dinosaur mad!

Don't know but am very interested as we're often in Dorchester visiting Grandma so will watch this thread.

Ooh yes, I haven't been for years but it was very sweet when I went, definitely fun for dinosaur fans. Not terribly hi-tech or anything but a fair bit to see. This was probably 10 years ago though so I will be interested to see what you think of it.

Let us know what it was like. My DS is big into dinosaurs and my DF lives in Dorset so we could visit if worth it.

I can thoroughly recommend it! Our 2 dds (7 & 5)
happily spent 2 hours exploring the various exhibits and dh and I were entertained too! It's small but has an excellent mix of interactive displays, models and I.T. resources.
It's probably not so suitable for the more streetwise 11+ age group but I'm confident that younger children would really enjoy their visit.
Dorchester itself is delightful- several other "family" museums all within 2 minutes walk.
