Cadbury's World??

I kind of have this yearning to go to Cadbury's World. Have wanted to go for ages!! BUT, is it worth the journey? (we're in the north west), is it worth the entrance fee?, and will the children, DS,7 and DD,6, enjoy it?

So many questions!!!!! Any info gratefully recieved!!

Hmm... I didn't like it: it's basically one huge advertising campaign, and after about half an hour the smell of melted chocolate made me feel nauseous! (Honestly) But the kids loved it.

I know what Roisin means, and you are given inordinate amounts of free chocolate which you have to squirrel away for future use (and fgs don't buy any in the gift shop!), but my kids did love it, and they still talk about it. It's particularly interesting in the light of Charlie and the Choc Factory. You do get to see how the chocs are made, etc; but it is really a small theme park. There's lots of history and stuff about making choc, but I don't think my kids took much in - maybe it just makes the parents feel a bit better.

DS1 was a bit outraged because at the end of all the presentations he felt he still didn't really understand how they made the chocolate from the cocoa beans ... I think he'd planned setting up in competition at home when we got back! LOL!

But, yes, ds2 can remember going and he was tiny at the time - about 2.5 I think!

definitely worth a trip. We've been a few times and the children have each been on school trips too but they STILL love going. We are only half an hour away from it though. If you're planning on going during half term book now!
