On yesterdays flight from Colombo to Doha ( 5 hrs) a there was Sri Lankan mother with her EIGHT children !
Ranging from a tiny tiny baby up to preteen .
Amazingly not a fuss from any, the elder ones taking the younger ones to the loo and helping them eat..
When we disembarked they all formed an orderly crocodile at immigration .
At the baggage hall the boys ran for trollies and loaded all the bags off the carousel !
I asked the eldest his age - 10 !!!

Very inspirational especially as my DH and I struggled to manage our two children . There is definately some training going down before our next jaunt !

My three kids act like this. They have had their own wheelie bags from about age 5, and actually have to be told to stand back from the luggage carousel until big enough. The eldest two have spent several holidays where we travelled for at least 4/5 hours a day, and spent most nights in a new hotel, so lots of packing unpacking. They have also spent time helping me with laundry in several small towns.
I even travelled home alone with the eldest two (2 and 4), to arrive home to a freezing house (DH had switched of the heating in February), which took forever to warm up. I remember a day snuggled up together under duvets, on the sofa, with jet lag.
My kids aren't angels, but have definitely been trained how to behave when it matters.
