What would be your Top 3 Days Out Trips in Devon? Staying there for a week in the summer with 7 and 9 year old boys, and hoping to get book some days out booked with Tesco vouchers.
Thanks!

I would recommend a day at Arlington Court which is a National trust property on the a 39. If it is raining you can go to the Dartington crystal/ Glass factory. If the weather is good the beach is fantastic! Have fun!

Surfing lessons on Croyde or Woolacombe beach www.nickthorn.com/

Combe Martin wildlife park and dinosaur park - great fun www.wildlifedinosaurpark.co.uk/

Exmoor Zoo www.exmoorzoo.co.uk/

Tunnels beaches - a private beach which you access through man made tunnels and it has a BAR www.tunnelsbeaches.co.uk/

If you like walking walk (about 2 miles across coast paths from Morthoe) to Rockham Bay and go rock pooling - it is beautiful www.coastwisenorthdevon.org.uk/sites/default/files/ROCKHAM%20BEACH.pdf

North Devon is beautiful better than south devon - I used to live there. Have a lovely time.

Second vote for Exmoor Zoo, and you can use Tesco vouchers to pay for tickets. It is a really nice friendly zoo, and they focus on smaller species (monkeys, meerkats, penguins etc) that you can see really close up. Although they do have a very bad-tempered black jaguar too.

The big sheep is great fun. I don't know if it would be too young for yours though. My 6 year old can't wait to go back this summer but I guess he is that much younger. That said, dh and I enjoy it too!

Also the nt run tractor/trailer rides from morthoe along the coast line, giving a commentary on the flora/fauna as you go along. Was really good.

The Big Sheep, Diggerland, or hire some bikes and cycle along the Tarka Trail. Our favourite day out was Torrington 1646. A interactive museum where the children take part in a musket and pike reinactment at the end. Lovely coffe shop too.
