would anyone recommend Auto Reisen for car hire in the Canaries?

Prices seem so much more reasonable than other companies - what's the catch?

They were good when I used them four years ago. The car wasn't new and was basic but it was waiting for me at the airport with plenty of petrol in and a very friendly chap sorted out the paperwork very quickly and installed a child seat for me. Said child seat was rather well used and saturated in suncream admittedly but the ones sitting in the hertz office were no better this year, thankfully I had one of those trunki booster bag things with me this time so DD got a fresh seat anyway.

No, we were out of there before the tour companies buses . I think we'll go back to them next time tbh, we only used hertz as my DH had his heart set on a car autoreisen didn't have this time but it wasn't worth the extra hassle and expense to get it. Hope you have a great holiday!

We used them a couple of years ago in Fuerteventura. Fab car, no hassles, no queues - would definitely recommend (actually only gripe was finding an attendant in the car pick up bit to tell us how to open the boot!)
