I love Madrid.

In fact we are going for our fourth visit next month. We always stay at a cheap and cheerful 'hostal' - if you are on a budget it is fab. la banezana I would rather spend my euros on wine and tapas.

We tend to spend our time walking - to the parks, museums (only 1 per weekend), shopping - all interspersed with breaks for food and drink [grin

In the evenings we tend to eat quite late (as does everyone else) and then find a bar or two. There are lots of clubs and bars which are open until the early hours, but we haven't yet managed to stay out that late. We have turned into old farts overnight Grin but might try and get some disco dancing in this trip.

Enjoy!!
