I am planning 3 nights in Nice and cannot wait!! I have booked a room at the Hotel Suisse in Nice, with a view out to sea.

I would be grateful for any must sees, advice on daytrips, good beaches etc. This will be our first time to Cote d'Azur. We will be going mid september so hopefully will get good weather.

Thanks in advance.

Oh God, I'm Envy

I loved Nice, but it was years ago when we went. I remember the Cours Saleya has some lovely cafes/restaurants/people watching opportunities and the shops around that area of Nice are very nice for browsing. I liked the Musee des Beaux Arts too - but I love art museums.

Day trips - the obvious ones are Monaco, Antibes, Cannes, but TBH with only three days you might want to just enjoy Nice. The beach is stony, but the Promenade des Anglais is lovely to stroll along and with a sea view you might just want to throw open the shutters and enjoy that. Have a lovely time!

The ice cream place in one of the squares in the old town. Has a gazillion flavours. Big outside thing.

We loved loved loved Nice.

We also took the train into Monaco which was fab.

Le Safari restaurant in Nice - down in the market area was really lovely, we ate there twice.

It is in the "old town", we sat outside to eat watching the street entertainers.
