I plan to go to the NHM next week adn wondered whether if i arrive early-ish and queue at the side entrance i'll be sneaky and get in a bit mroe quickly than queuing at the main entrance? Anyone done this or know about this at all?
Thanks!

We went a couple of months ago and we were told to queue at the side entrance because the queue at the front was so big. We only had to wait about 10 minutes that way, not many people were waiting there.

Definitely go for the side entrance. It's far better and there is a buggy park / store right inside, so if that's relevant to you, it's better for that too.

Though, if you are getting there early and with toddlers, head to the science museum for the first hour (basement) - mad busy from about midday, but good until then.

Oooh thanks. I will go for the side entrance (I assume it opens at the same time as we intend to be there for opening?????). Buggy not relevant for me but it might be for my friend (not sure). Thanks! We had wondered about science museum but dinosaurs are the whole poitn of going so intend to do that bit first and then maybe go straight to science basement bit. THanks !
