When do dates & prices come out for summer 2013?

I'm hoping a MN'er is a travel agent and is able to tell me when I can book a holiday for 2013! I know it's still a way off but I've done the research & know what I want. If I can get a free child place I can persuade DH to upgrade the room!

My friends think I am mad as they are only planning 2012 holiday at the moment but every penny counts! The holiday we are going on this year would have cost us £1000 more if we didn't book early, although I missed the best deal on the holiday I really wanted so really want to get in first this time!!

Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much!

I have an audio meeting first thing on the 26th which I will be using as a cover to book busy paying attention to!

Here's hoping for a great deal!!

Speak to your local travel agent prior to the brochures coming out, especially if you know the resort and hotel you want to go to. They will then call you on the day the prices are released with a quote ready. Well, that's how we did it last year and we were booked before lunch on the first day and got our free child's place for our holiday in August.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Managed to book the holiday I wanted at a really good price & got a swim up room!

Where are you going Poogles? We have just booked ours today too :)

Fin1858 · 28/04/2012 11:56

Where are you going Poogles? We booked on Thursday for next year too. We have also managed to book a swim up room and are staying at the Holiday Village Rhodes x

Poogles · 30/04/2012 12:30

We're off to the Holiday Village Rhodes too! See you there Fin! Checked at the weekend and a basic double room is now more than we paid for a swim up so thank you very much Copycat for the info on dates!!

Yep I've been checking too and I know it sounds cruel but I feel quite lucky considering the difference in price in just a few days. What date are you going? We are going to be there for 2 weeks from the 17th July x

Poogles · 01/05/2012 12:40

We go on 24th for 2 weeks so will cross over with you for one week! We are over in the activity side. Deluxe would be wasted on our 2 DS & relax would probably be too quiet (plus I don't want the bother if having to go so far for the restaurants, kids clubs, water park etc!!)

Ah fab Poogles are you on fb as we'll have to keep in touch. We are in the activity side too for the same reasons as you. My dd will be 5 and ds will be 4, how old are yours?

Poogles · 02/05/2012 12:36

DS1 is 6 & DS2 will be 4 so they might get together at kids club (if we can get them out of the pool!!

Not on fb but will keep an eye out for you - we might end up next door to each other! What a small world!

Yep that would be funny (in a good way mind).
